In a process of alcohol disinfection in a conveyor belt for food machinery, stainless steel bearings were previously used. However, after some time, a problem occurred where the grease leaked out and the bearing stopped rotating entirely. As a replacement, a lubricant-free resin made of food-safe PEEK material was used instead.
