Our bearings were used on conveyor belts for glass products. The use of metal bearings when cleaning ground glass results in water contamination due to lubricating grease. Worse yet, glass particles reduce bearing lubrication, leading to increased wear on the bearings and higher production downtime. To eliminate the problem, we offered our plastic bearings.
The bearing dimensions are designed according to the current machine equipment to avoid design changes to the machines. Future design changes, such as longer shafts, are also individually accommodated by us. In the specific example, a self-aligning ball bearing was used. This allowed us to ensure maximum flexibility of the shaft.
Thus, changes in shaft length or deviation in shaft position can be accommodated. This simultaneously reduces wear on both the bearing and the machine. Therefore, we recommend self-aligning ball bearings instead of normal deep groove ball bearings.
Additionally, we can manufacture special deep groove ball bearings that do not conform to the standard, as we employ a machining manufacturing process.
