Our plastic slide bearings were used for the monitoring camera in a manufacturing process.
While the manufacturing facility is in operation, the camera extends, and when the line stops, the camera retracts. Our slide bearings were used for this extension and retraction mechanism.
Since this manufacturing process takes place in an environment with chemical solutions, a metallic solution would corrode quickly. Therefore, our customer considered using plastic.
We suggested PEEK slide bearings from our product range. Since the shaft is made of stainless steel, we used ceramic balls.
